Scintigraphic images were obtained after the intravenous administration of ___ millicuries of technetium 99m labeled choletec. Ejection fraction was calculated after the administration of 1.1 micrograms of cholecystokinin.
Findings:
The liver is immediately seen on scintigraphic images. The intrahepatic bile ducts are seen at 15 minutes. The gall bladder and bowel are seen at 45 minutes.
After the administration of cholecystokinin, the patient reported mild right upper quadrant pain. The ejection fraction was calculated to be 88%.
Impression:
1. Normal HIDA scan
2. Normal ejection fraction
3. Right upper quadrant discomfort after cholecystokinin injection
